JAYASRI...!!! Austrian Grammy Amadeus Award Winners

Festival der Klänge (Festival of Tones) is the official Austrian World Music Award Competition organized by the IKKZ- International culture and communication centre Vienna and Wien Kultur. This is the highest award to achive in the worldmusic genre and the event happens once a year. JAYASRI is the first ever band to win this prestigeous award from the Asian continent.

In year 2003 JAYASRI won the prestigeous AUSTRIAN WORLD MUSIC AWARD (Österreichischer welt musik preis 2003) from 77 international world music bands around the world. The success brought them great standards to expose their music and perform in some of the biggest International music festivals in Europe with international artists and bands, including the biggest European openair festival drawing more than 3 million people The Danube Island Festival (Donauinsel fest) in Vienna AUSTRIA.

In 2005 The Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation respected their original achievements presenting the “SLO Award” (Sri Lanka Originals Award) in Reggae Category.

The project Ravers on Dope with the frontman Rohitha j. won the Austrian Grammy Amadeus for the Best single in the dancefloor category for sold out Nr.1 single “Get High” with the brother duo Taylor and Flow (Global Deejays.) “Hard Core Vibes”,”Get High”,” Big Bass drum” singles entered worldwide Top charts in many countries ( Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Japan, Russia, Finland, Norway,Italy…etc),Nr. 1 in Austrian and European DJ Charts. The Video Get High got airplay in MTV Europe,Viva, RTL, NBC Giga …more music channels worldwide.
