'Machan', Oscar nominated Uberto Pasolini's Sri Lanka-Germany-Italy co-production which Premiered at the recenlty concluded ‘65th Venice Film Festival’ became the Best Film in the section 'Venice Days- 2008'. The film was awarded with 'Label Europa Cinemas', Venice Days 2008 Prize winning the audience acclaim. The film was scripted by Ms. Ruwanthi de Chickera and co-produced by Prasanna Vithanage JAYASRI has performed live in Lido-Venice, “Machan” premiere at Venice international film festival with their all 6 original songs which featured in the film and after party with celebrities. The Film score is done by Lakshman Joseph de Saram and Oscar winner Stephen Warbeck (Shakesphere in love). And it is to be screened from September 26th around Europe and worldwide cinemas.
